Both this and last year I have served as camp nurse during the abbreviated week for the young kids. It's just 3 nights of being in the dorms, but is a great way for kids to get their "feet wet" with the camp experience. Bay decided to go with me again this year and be the big man on campus. In a turn of events I had to leave camp on Tuesday morning with some preterm labor concerns. So I ended up with an IV, Terbutaline injection and Procardia to stop the "activity". I had to stay on the Procardia and be on bedrest until I returned to my doctor in Alabama. I am now off of the Procardia and back to work. Hopefully we won't have too much of that happen anymore.

THE CAMMON NIECES
We made the trip home for Pathfinders camp at Oil Belt Christian Service Camp and stayed around to celebrate the 4th of July. Below are some shots of the nieces on my side of the family. I had not seen Laynee since Christmas, so to say she has changed is quite an understatement.

VACATIONS GO TOO FAST!!
On our way home we stopped at Durbin Farms for a cool treat. They had awesome ice cream and a neat little store area. There was also a farmer's market full of fresh vegi's and fruits. I had spied this place on our trip down to the beach. We had stopped for lunch across the road and I made myself remember the exit number so we could stop for ice cream on the way home. Yeah!!
LAST MORNING IN ORANGE BEACH
Sweet Jackson woke up early the last day so that he could say goodbye to his grandparents, Aunt Jacque and cousins. Here he is holding little Morgan just after he woke up.
The last morning on the beach.

The guys enjoyed playing in the water left on the beach from the tide moving. It was shallow, but deep enough for them to float on their boards.
A FEW FUN PICS
LAZER TAG
Jackson had waited all year to go play lazer tag in Orange Beach...just ask him. He'll tell you all about it. No vests for pregnant ladies...aaawww shucks!
MORE ORANGE BEACH PHOTOS
Bay and Joe spent the last full day on the beach doing some serious shell hunting.
Jax had such a great time. He did get too much sun and so we had to add a t-shirt for more sun protection. That did the trick and he could play all he wanted.

Bay and Jackson were digging in a hole to make it even bigger. Oh, the things that entertain young boys. As you can see, it was a really deep hole.
LULU'S AT HOMEPORT MARINA
One of our favorite places to go for an evening of both entertainment and dinner is LuLu's at Homeport Marina. If you've been there then you know what I am talkin' bout. It is like walking into a constant vacation beach party. We made our first visit last spring when there were few people, so we didn't wait for too long. This year we had about 1 1/2 hrs to pass waiting for our table. Luckily there are plenty of things to see and do while waiting. I think you can tell from the photos that ALL of us had a great time. Oh BTW, LuLu's owner is Jimmy Buffet's sister so that gives you an idea of the atmosphere...very "laid back beach life".
FISHING EXCURSION IN THE GULF OF MEXICO
One of the reasons I really wanted every one's schedules to work together for this trip is that Joe wanted to take his Dad on a fishing excursion in the gulf. Knowing how much his Dad likes to fish, Joe wanted to share this experience with his Dad. Bay went along and did quite a bit a fishing as well. The fishing excursion was Larry's Father's Day gift from Joe and Jacque. I think it was a success!
VACATION, VACATION, VACATION
MORE VACATION PHOTOS!!
If you look closely you will see a dark area in the upper mid to left area of the orange bucket. Guess what it is...a jelly fish! That was second one caught in two days. Just the day before some older boys had caught one and shown our boys. Of course when my boys (Joe included) found one, they had to put it in a bucket as well. Yes, there was no harm to the jelly fish and it was returned to the gulf waters....thank goodness! That was not becoming another pet!
