ILLINOIS OR ALABAMA...???

Since moving down here, a common question posed to us is
"Who ya'fur?"...translation: "Who are you for?"
Of course, when we answer Illinois that never satisfies their quest for your allegiance. That being said we have come to enjoy a good Alabama football game along with watching our Big Ten sports. So I guess the SEC has made a place in our home, even if it is our second pick.
Illinois...

or

Alabama

Seriously.....?! ILLINOIS

A FEW CUTE PICS OF MAX AT 3 MOS

As we were getting ready to go to one of the many basketball games I snapped this pic. He is just too cute!! I remember when both of the boys wore this little Winnie the Pooh hat...aahhh, memories.

Getting stronger and more mobile everyday.

That my precious laughing baby!!!

CHRISTMAS AT THE CAMMON'S

We went to my parents home and celebrated with my siblings and their children on the 27th. Dad wasn't there, but we had an early Christmas with him at Thanksgiving.

Bay's first guitar....I can hear "smoke on the water" already.

Bay is smiling because he knows full well what is in the case.

Someone snapped a quick pic of Maya and Jackson playing on the floor. They are total buddies!!

Just minutes after opening the guitar Mom and Wes picked out, Bay was getting a lesson from Uncle Wes. I love this photo!

CHRISTMAS AT THE RINEHART'S

We left Alabama on December 26th after I finished working my night shift and made the trek north. Mostly I just remember being very tired...and sore. It's tough to sit in the back seat having had no rest. Oh well, Merry Christmas!
Super Cute Little Miss Morgan

Max wore his "My First Christmas" sleeper Grandma Rinehart had given him just for this occasion. Aunt Jacque gave him a great little soft firetruck complete with a tree and a cat.

Here's our big "little boy" sitting on Grandma Dorthey's lap.

MORE CHRISTMAS

Jackson was thrilled with his electronic drum set and Bay was getting a concert via headphones. AAhhh yes, headphones the keeper of peace and quite...at least kind of.

This was the pic for our awesome Christmas Card.

Max liked his new toys, but was ready to rest not play.

CHRISTMAS MORNING 2009

Max needed a little nap before opening any more gifts.

Ok, you probably can't see it, but it was snowing. Dainty little Christmas morning flakes, but snow none the less. Jackson was so excited he ran around on the deck and danced in the "snow".

Max really did love his exersaucer...even though the look on his face says otherwise. He giggled and bounced around...I know I have a pic of him smiling, why did I post this...probably exhaustion...yeah that's it.

Our three precious boys on Christmas morning.

CHRISTMAS EVE 2009

Riley really torn into her gifts this year. She was dragging the stocking around and pulling out the pig...hilarious!!

Jackson and his stocking full of goodies.

Jackson, Bay and Max on Christmas morning. Max was having a great time on his first Christmas holiday.

Our Christmas Eve dinner family photo with one more in the pic this year. On the menu: Pomegranate and Basil Roasted Pork Loin, Asparagus with Brown Butter sauce and almonds, Three Cheese Twice Baked Potatoes and yummy dinner rolls. I LOVE to cook....when I have the time!!!

CHRISTMAS PARTIES

NAL had a small Christmas Dinner for management catered by a wonderful little restaurant Frank's. It's the same place we went for our anniversary. Anyway, we had 4 young ladies watching the kids at our house for some of the parents. I think we ended up with 8 girls and boys. The girls did a great job watching all of the children and gave them a little party of their own.

The older Bay gets the fewer holiday party photos I get. I suppose that is just the way it goes. Here he is ready to tear into his stocking in Mrs.Maclanahan's class.

Jackson's class had a bingo game to determine who chose their boy gift and when they took their turn. Of course, Max was there but didn't make into any of the pics. He ended up sleeping for part of the party.

SWEET POTOTOES, YUMMM!!!

Max's first solid food, if you want to call it that, was sweet potatoes. Yeah, I know start with the squash and move to the sweeter foods, well this is my 3rd child and I'm a little more laid back. Remember I said a "little", so don't expect anything crazy in the future.
Oh lordy, what are you putting in my mouth now?!
Hey those sweet potatoes are pretty good.

MORE OF MAX

Who's that cutie I see? He is getting so strong and can already hold himself up quite well.

Max is ready to go watch one of Bay's basketball games. He even dressed in the team colors. Many years ago, Bay wore this little outfit when we would watch Uncle Wes play basketball.

Max's first taste of cereal...."you want me to do what with this?"

Just a day later, loving the cereal and wanting more.

FUN PICS OF MAX AT 2 MOS

After a long day at school Bay loves to come home and cuddle his baby brother. It really is sooo sweet to watch both Bay and Jax enjoy Maxwell. What a blessing!

Max on his playmat with his new favorite toy the crunchy frog that Grandpa Cammon gave him. That toy goes everywhere with us. There is so much on the toy is really keeps Max entertained and is just he right size for his growing hands.

My baby boy is just about to outgrow the newborn napper he has been sleeping in at my bedside. This is the greatest way for him to sleep. It keeps his head slightly elevated and holds him in a cuddle so that he snuggles right in to sleep...even if it is for only 3 hours.

This is another outfit Bay wore as a baby. We just love Pooh Bear and this little sleep is adorable!

CHRISTMAS WITH GRANDPA

Max is looking sleepy, but loved his toy Grandpa Cammon gave him for Christmas. He also got some bath toys, a sleeping bag...lots of good baby stuff.

Grandma and Grandpa Cammon with Max

Jackson and Grandpa Cammon having a deep discussion about Legos.

Two of my boys with my Dad, priceless.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

Quite some time ago it became a tradition for me to make my dad a German Chocolate cake for his birthday. Since I moved to Alabama and he has been out of the country so much that has proved a little difficult to deliver each year. A couple of years ago my sister got him a cake, but since I was going to be home near his birthday I was determined to make "the cake". It was enjoyable to make the cake and celebrate a belated birthday with him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

My dad had a wonderful idea to celebrate Christmas with the grandkids before he left since he would not be home for the holidays. It was great! Above Dad is playing Santa and passing out the gifts to all 10 of his grandkids.

Tiffany, Max, Ella, Holly and Laynee waiting for the gift opening to being.

My Dad and brother Wes are putting up the Christmas tree and kicking off the holidays.

A WEEK SPENT WITH GRANDPA CAMMON

Since Grandpa Cammon is gone for work at least half of the year, he had not met Max. Of course, since Grandpa Cammon was going to be home we went to Illinois and had a good long visit. Joe went to hunt with his dad and then I brought the boys with me a little later. At the end of the weekend Max and I stayed in Illinois while the big Rinehart guys returned to Alabama. Then it was Thanksgiving and they were back in IL, so it all worked out really well. It was wonderful getting to see my Dad and having the chance to really visit with family.
We got to spend almost every evening with Wes, Katie and their girls. This is a photo of Audrey, Maya and Max. He was 11 weeks old and trying to be as big as the girls.

Look'n so cute in his little denim jacket my mom had purchased for him. We will need to get a bigger one for next fall, this is too cute!

Grandpa Cammon and Max hit it off right away. Max is pretty easy going and all boy, very curious and always moving.

MAX'S FIRST TIME AT THE PARK

We live just a few houses away from a great kids park and play area. What's even better is the city is installing a waterpad, so by next summer we'll have a close place to go cool off in the hot Alabama afternoons. One November afternoon Max and I walked down to the park to get Joe and the boys for dinner. We ended up staying a short while and enjoying the last of the warm weather.

Max taking his first swing with Daddy.

He liked the park, but boy it wears a guy out!

TRICK OR TREAT 2009

I wanted to dress the boys in coordinating costumes like maybe....The Wizard of Oz complete with the cowardly lion, tin man and scarecrow. I was even willing to dress like Dorothey to complete the look. I couldn't sell the boys on any of the ideas. They didn't even go for the Super Mario Brothers, so I got tired, gave up and they just went as a hunter, a black spiderman and of course our little cow.
My sleeping little Jack'O Lantern. This was Bayley's first costume. He barely filled it out at 3 wks old, Max barely fits in it at 7 wks old.

This was Max's Trick or Treat costume, a cow. It was super soft and worked great for all of those newborn needs.

Joe and Bay put this outfit together. Bay still enjoys dressing up and trick or treating, but doesn't want to look like a "little kid" so we thought this would fit the bill.

Jackson wanted to be the black spiderman. Not much to the costume, but it's what he wanted. I was trying to sell him on the idea of a mad scientist....maybe next year.

My boys ready to pull in a major candy haul.
