Joe started off the new year with another step toward his marathon goal. Now he can check Mississippi off of the list. We all loaded up the Freestyle and made our way to Jackson, Mississippi. The boys were thrilled since there was an indoor pool to enjoy. This was one of those races that we didn't make it for the start, but were there cheering Joe across the finish line. We did drive him to the starting area and wish him lots of luck. I just hope that he enjoys each race.
Our hotel was next to none other than....Bass Pro Shop....whoop-dee-doo! Ok, so maybe it's not exactly my thing, but I thought "hey, why not check it out". I have to say it was interesting. The animal displays look like a museum and they had a STARBUCKS!! This alone made the trip for me. 
Here the guys are checking out the fish in the giant aquarium. Just like the one at the St.Louis Zoo, cool.
We actually stayed in Pearl, MS. The boys are posing for a quick "I was here" photo at the Pizza Hut. Yes, pizza before the big day...surprise, surprise, surprise!
