A few more Birthday party pics

Below Joe is watching as Jackson racks up the points in ski ball.

Jackson chose a bowling cake for his party this year. Of course he did an awesome job blowing out the candles and made a super secret wish. Bay is in the group of kids with the black t-shirt. He tried to avoid the photos, but I did finally get him in one.

Jackson's Birthday Celebration Begins

Jackson chose Aaron M from his class at school to go with him to see Horton Hears a Who. They were so well behaved, I think we'll do that again.

The next day we had Jackson's birthday party at ChuckECheese. He was super excited about the games, gifts and...well, more games.

Here's a crew- hiding to the left was Bay, then there is Grant, Ethan, Aaron, Jackson, Andrew and Peyton. They were all playing games and laughing, a very well behaved group of young guys. Thanks so much for coming and making Jackson's birthday party great.

I certainly can not keep up with Jackson when it comes to his video games, but I can manage a good showing at the water gun target.

Quick pics of the girls

These are just a couple of cute pics from a trip home. Below Ella and Maya are laying side by side. They are only one month apart, aren't they the sweetest things!

Ava was so proud of her crown and medal that she was dancing around the living room wearing her "goods". She is 2, and always moving so this was quickly snapped while she was rolling around in her "pretty dress".

Wes, Katie and Maya visit our home

It was such a nice treat to have Wes, Katie and baby Maya come to Muscle Shoals for a visit. We miss our family and really enjoy when we have visitors. It was fun to be able to share some of our current hometown and surroundings with Wes and Katie. Of course, we were thrilled to see Maya as well. Maya is becoming well traveled.
We wanted to take Wes, Katie and Maya to our favorite local restaurant, Ricatoni's. A great little Italian bistro. They have WONDERFUL food and a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. It's one of those places where the celebrities visit when they are in the area. Everything from the bread and oil to the dessert is so good we always walk away "stuffed".

Jackson loved having Maya here with us. First thing Saturday morning he and Maya watched some Disney channel and just chilled.

Bay took this super cute shot of Maya. She is just such and adorable little girl!

Bay and Jackson wanted to take some photos and this was the "family" picture as they called it.

Bay's Basketball Team- Aztecs

Bay played for the Aztecs in the Muscle Shoals Recreation Department basketball league. I was really glad he had been to the Flora Wolves Basketball camp the last two years. That little bit of experience seemed to help him understand the game.
Bay really understands defense and is confident in this position.

Tip off...Bay is on the right in black.

Everyone at the line for a free throw, he is number3

They had an amazing season only losing 1 game. The exact opposite of the football season. Next...baseball!!

Jackson's Basketball Team- Cowboys

Jackson had a wonderful basketball season. He scored several times and learned alot about the game. The only thing he didn't really care for was the buzzer. In a small gym it was really quite loud. Jackson is in the back row on the left end...He's the one proudly displaying his trophy.

Jackson was so excited to get a trophy...and the basketball really spins. COOL!!

Tornado hits Hoosier

Ok, this is going to sound "old", but I remember when February was COLD!!! Now we have to expect unseasonably warm weather, which means the increased possibility of storms. Sure enough, February 5th brought a tornado right through Hoosier. Hoosier is technically Louisville, however it is an area in the country that is much like it's own community. Anyway, that is where our family farm is, Hoosier(rural Louisville). Some have said it wasn't classified as a tornado, but the odd things that happened are all tornado related...I'm stickn' to "it was a tornado". My mom was home and we are all fortunate that no one was injured and the damage was minimal.
The above photo is what was left of the swing set. When we moved to Alabama the swing set couldn't go so it went to my Grandma and Grandpa Cammon's farm so that all of the cousins could enjoy it. It got alot of use since my nieces are there often. When the storm blew through it picked up the wooden swing set and dropped pieces over 30 feet. It was really quite sad for us, that what our boys played on as little guys. Take a close look, the little plastic toys were left untouched in the rocks. The plastic lid to the dinosaur sand pile was even left in place. Tell me that's not the weirdness of a tornado.

This shot shows a large piece of metal, from the no longer standing building, wrapped in the branches of the tree. This was polling day and the township hall was busy with volunteers and people voting. That small building was off to the right of this tree and sustained minor damage.

We went home to help with the clean-up and my main job was picking up the sticks in the yard. This photo shows a large branch that was stuck into the ground by the strong wind from the storm. My niece, Sydney, even helped with the sticks. Even though it was unfortunate circumstances, it's always nice to go home for a visit. One bright spot for Bay and Jackson was they were able to attend their cousin Reagan's birthday party.
