Orange Beach Sunset

A nice quiet sunset to end a relaxing trip.

Even more beach photos

Mini-golfing at Adventure Island in Gulf Shores, AL. It was just too cold to be on the beach today so we found lots of other things to do. Along with golf we also raced go-carts, played in the Arcade and .................
the Rinehart boys played Lazer Tag!!!!

Joe had the wonderful idea of bringing the kite for the beach. What a great thing for the guys to do together. It was so cold this evening that the sand felt like snow. It was however the whitest, softest sand I've seen. The beach really is great!

More Spring Break 08' Photos

We loved being able to rent our beach chair for as long as we needed for the week. We even had our name on it...which the boys and I thought was really cool!

All of the boys spent some time picking up sea shells in the morning. We came home with tons of shells all colors and sizes.
Here Jackson is enjoying the sand and sun. I can remember burying my legs in the sand as a little girl playing at Foss Lake in Oklahoma. It's funny how when you see your children playing it can take you right back in time to a swatch of time.
Bay had found a hole that had been dug and made his home there. It's amazing how kids can spend hours just digging and moving sand. Watching them play is one of those quiet pleasures.

SPRING BREAK 2008- Orange Beach, AL

Since we haven't had a family vacation in 4 years we decided a long weekend at the beach was overdue. During the boys spring break in April we travelled south to the Gulf Shore area and spent a few days. It ended up being quite chilly and windy, but honestly we didn't mind so much. It was just nice to be at the beach for a while. Since we are now only 5 1/2 hours from the coast a beach trip is much easier. If you are thinking it's taken me a while to get these photos posted...you're right! I'm on night shift once again and I usually pick extra sleep over blogging about latest events, sorry. I'll try a little harder to keep it up.

Bay and Jackson went straight to the beach within the first hour of being there.

The last time I had the boys at the beach they were 6yrs and 4yrs...my goodness they are sooo much bigger and look so grown-up now.

You can tell by the smile on Bay's face he was having a great time running and playing in the water.
