BLIZZARD BEACH AND CHEF MICKEY

Hey Everyone, a magical hello from Disney World! Our first morning Bay chose the Mickey waffle he has been talking about for months. I had a big Mickey waffle and it was so good. The resort food is quite tasty and even better than some of the dinner/character meals.

How cute and yummy, Mickey waffles!
BLIZZARD BEACH

At this time, this is the only photo of Blizzard Beach. The photos I took were on a waterproof 35mm which of course I cannot download. We did get some really cute photo ops and had some taken by the park photographers. We all did the big Summit Plummet...the big daddy of all water slides in Disney. The ride begins 120ft in the air on a platform 30ft above the top of Mount Gushmore. Then you simply slide down a 350ft slide at speeds about 60 miles an hour. Joe got up to 55mph and I hit a whopping 62 mph. I don't know if it's age or just a rough ride, but we are both sore from head to toe after that one. Bay and Jackson seem to be fine so I guessing it's the age. Anyway, we had to finish at the park because of the incoming storm. So we went back, rested and got ready for the rest of the day.

We took in a couple of cute "rides" in the Magic Kingdom while waiting for our reservations at Chef Mickey.

There was some rain on our way to the reservation...but we were prepared. Umbrellas and ponchos, we can handle it.
