DISNEY'S SPIRIT OF ALOHA DINNER SHOW

One of the things I really wanted to do was attend the Luau at the Polynesian resort. Initially it was booked, but with the threat of hurricane weather many people cancelled their trips. That was much to our advantage. We were able to get reservations for the luau and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Review Dinner Show. I was thrilled to be going to the luau and sharing that new experience with my boys. The humidity is so high that even though my hair started out straight today...as you can see the wave set in quickly. The soaking at Splash Mountain didn't help either.
Quick family photo opportunity upon arriving at the Spirit of Aloha Dinner.

The food is served to each table family style complete with fresh pineapple and roasted pork.

The shot is a little blurry, but it was difficult with all of the stage lighting. Above the ladies are performing one of the traditional dances.

The show was upbeat and full of energy with lots of familiar songs from "Roller Coaster Ride" from Lilo and Stitch to "Rock a Hula" by Elvis. The boys loved the guy who juggled fire torches and a baton with fire on both ends. They kept asking "is it real fire?". We had a wonderful time. What a perfect first night!!
